How to prepare Almond Milk Powder – Badam Milk powder

Ingredients to make 1 1/2 cups Almond / Badam Milk Powder mix

  • Almonds / badam – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Cardamoms – 6-8
  • Saffron strands – 1 teaspoon

Ingredients to make Hot almond – Badam milk with powder

To make 2 cups of Hot Badam milk, you need:

  • Almond / Badam milk powder as prepared above – 2 tbsp
  • Milk – 2 cups.
  • Sugar optional – 1 teaspoon

Ingredients to make Chilled Badam milk / almond milk with powder

To Make 2 glasses of Cold Badam milk we need

  • Almond / badam milk powder as prepared above – 2 tbsp
  • Milk – 2 cups.
  • Sugar optional – 1 teaspoon

Instructions
 

Preparation for making almond – badam milk powder

  • Roast lightly almonds. The purpose is just to remove any moisture in them so that you can grind them to fine powder.
  • Cool completely.
  • Mix together roasted almonds, sugar, saffron, cardamom pods.
  • Grind to a find powder.Your almond / badam powder is ready to use.
  • Store in an airtight jar.

To Prepare Hot Badam Milk

  • Heat 2 cups milk.
  • Add 2 teaspoon of almond powder mix to it.
  • Add some sugar if you wish. Remember we added some sugar while making the powder.
  • Stir well till it dissolves.

How To make Chilled Badam milk / almond milk from powder

  • Making cold almond / badam milk
  • Take 2 cups of milk
  • Add 2 spoons of the prepared badam powder to the milk.
  • Stir till it dissolves.
  • Chill and serve.

Tips for making Badam milk powder
  • Though it is called badam milk powder, you may add other dry fruits and nuts to this to make it more nutritious.
  • Roast the other nuts as we roast almonds/badam. cool them.
  • Grind to fine powder along with badam and cardamom powder.
  • You may add the prepared badam powder to kheer recipes such as Carrot kheer or any other sweet/dessert recipe.
Tips for making hot badam milk
  • Badam milk will have a lovely yellow color.
  • Serve hot with or after breakfast or at bedtime.
  • It is a warming drink on a rainy, cold day too.
Tips for making chilled badam milk:
  • You may use already chilled milk and mix badam powder in it.
  • You may add ice cubes to the milk to cool it fast.
  • Serve Cold Badam Milk in the afternoons, warm/hot summer days, whenever you and your family and guests would like a
