How to make Palak soup Spinach Soup
Ingredients for palak soup – spinach soup to serve 2
- Fresh Spinach leaves – 2 cups
- Sugar- 1/2 tsp
- water – 3 cups
- Boiled potato – 1 small – You may use a small sweet potato instead of potato.
- salt – 1/2 tsp or to taste
- black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp or to taste.
- Fresh Cream or butter – 1 tsp
- Garlic – 1 or 2 cloves
- Onion – 1 small
- olive oil or vegetable oil – 1/2 tsp
Why use boiled potato?
- Usually corn starch is used to thicken the soup. Today instead of corn starch, we are using a boiled potato. This will be useful to those who do not have cornstarch available or do not want to use it for whatever reason.
- You may also use a sweet potato instead of regular potato. Sweet potato is considered healthier than potato.
