I usually, actually, almost every set curd at home almost every day. I like to do that and like the taste of that homemade curd too. But there are days when I buy ready curd. I prefer to buy plain curd only.

proper curd setting also depends on the climate where you stay and the seasons too. Curd needs to be set at a particular temperature and that temperature needs to be maintained.
Lower temperature may delay the curd setting and may also change the taste.
Higher temperature will set the curd faster but it may become kind of watery or sour.

In my home, I set curd everyday and it gets used up everyday. There are many ways how my family consumes curd.
- We have curd in curd rice.
- We may end our meal with curdrice or a bowl of curd.
- I make raita whenever I make paratha or pulao.
- In hot weather, we make lassi. It may be sweet lassi or salty lassi depending on mood.
- We add curd to salads.
- We make kadhi to go with plain rice or moongdal khichdi.
- We also drink kadhi by itself. Very yummy.
